The primary sources for cryptocurrency prices are the exchanges Coinbase Pro, Kraken and Bitstamp. When a coin is not traded on any of those 3 exchanges (or traded with low volume), the price is taken from other exchanges with high volume: Binance, Bitfinex and HitBTC.

Coinbase Pro, Kraken and Bitstamp are used as our primary price sources because:

• They have fiat trading pairs
• They have been around for 5+ years
• Their customers never lost funds due to their exchange hack or other exchange incident
• They have the strongest brands and reputation
